The shortlists for the three Best Business Awards are announced

Nine local companies have made it through to the next round of the Guernsey Awards for Achievement. The short-list for the business awards has been drawn up, with three companies having been chosen for each of the three main categories. The final winners will be revealed at a special gala dinner evening to celebrate 25 years of the Awards for Achievement, on Thursday 3rd February 2011 at Beau Sejour.

Mel Young announced as the guest speaker for 3 February 2011

ONE of the world’s leading social entrepreneurs is set to address islanders at Guernsey’s most prestigious awards evenings.

The Garenne Group, one of the team of sponsors of the Guernsey Awards for Achievement 2010, has confirmed that Mel Young, who is recognised by the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, will be the keynote speaker at the forthcoming gala evening to be held on Thursday 3rd February 2011.

The entries are in and judging begins

The first round of the judging process for the main Business Awards of this year’s Guernsey Awards for Achievement is set to begin over the next couple of weeks. Entries are now in for three main business awards; the NatWest Best Small Business Award, the BWCI Best Medium Business Award and the Healthspan Best Large Business Award and the process is underway to find three short listed companies for each category.

Workshop to help entrants to be held on 16 September

Businesses which are considering entering this year’s Guernsey Awards for Achievement are being offered the opportunity to benefit from free advice. The organisers are staging a workshop this month to provide help with the process of filling out the nomination form and finding out more information about entering the awards.

2010 Awards For Achievement Launch

Guernsey’s Awards for Achievement will celebrate its 25th anniversary next year as the search starts once again for the Bailiwick’s top local companies, organisations and individuals. Launched today, the Awards for Achievement nominations process is calling on all local businesses to come and celebrate success at a gala ceremony to be held on Thursday 3 February 2011, where seven trophies will be presented to the elite of Guernsey’s business environment and wider community.
